Weekend Words of Wisdom #8

CardEncourage the Heart

Without encouragement and celebration, leaders would be missing the critical relationship with their followers.

An encouraging word, a visit, or notes of support or recognition are all tools of a leader who desires a transformational relationship with his or her followers.

Celebrations are important and an essential ingredient to organizational health. However, there is no substitute for the personal encouragement that causes followers to feel within their hearts that  their membership in the organizational community is valued and significant.

We are all called to lead; every one of us is a leader and has followers.

How are you making sure your followers know how much you value them?
